چکیده
An efficient in vitro regeneration protocol was developed via callus from the explants of leaf and internode Coccinia cordifolia (L.) Cogn., an important medicinal climber. Among different combinations auxins cytokines used, BAP with NAA were found highly effective for induction derived disc explants. Maximum formation rates recorded on MS 1.0 mg/l 0.1 both The best organogenesis obtained 2.0 0.5 NAA. highest numbers shoots regenerated per culture 6.5 ± 0.10 5.6 0.55 respectively discs to be better indirect organogenesis. For root induction, half strength medium supplemented IBA most effective. mean number roots shoot 6.8 average length 2.8 0.20 cm. In plantlets acclimatized successfully. This can utilized improvement this climber through biotechnological methods. Plant Tissue Cult. & Biotech. 32(2): 127-136, 2022 (December)

Method: The foliar micromorphological parameters such as orientation, stomatal types and morphology; density, distribution of trichomes and stomata; stomatal index and trichome types, paradermal sections were obtained manually by the standard method. The leaves were excised and fixed primarily in formalin, acetic acid and ethyl alcohol solution; cleared in 70% ethanol, bleached with 5% NaOH and...
متن کاملIndirect shoot organogenesis from leaf explants of Adhatoda vasica Nees
A novel protocol for indirect shoot organogenesis of Adhatoda vasica was developed using petiole explants derived from mature shrubby plants. Media with concentrations of cytokinins in combination with auxins were used to induce callus formation in two explants types: petiole and leaf segment. The frequency of callus formation from petiole and leaf segment explants on Murashige and Skoog (MS) b...

Nodal explants of Phyla nodiflora (L.) Greene, were cultured on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with different combination and concentration of cytokinins and auxins for multiple shoots regeneration. The maximum numbers of shoots were found in MS medium supplemented with2.5 mgl-16-benzylaminopurine (BA) and 0.5 mgl-1 kinetin (KN). Elongated shoots were transferred to rooting ...
متن کاملIn vitro shoot organogenesis from Eucalyptus sp. leaf explants
Background In vitro organogenesis is one of the key techniques associated with genetic transformation, as it determines the successful regeneration of transgenic plants after co-cultivation with bacteria. Therefore, the development of efficient regeneration protocols is the most critical step in developing genetic transformation. Protocols have been developed for several species of eucalyptus. ...

The present study was aimed at investigating the antioxidant activities of the various fractions of the hydromethanolic extract of the leaves of Coccinia grandis L. Voigt. (Cucurbitaceae). The antioxidant activities of the fractions have been evaluated by using nine in vitro assays and were compared to standard antioxidants such as ascorbic acid, alpha-tocopherol, curcumin and butylated hydroxy...
